Toyota HiAce Dog Van Features a Special Doggy Seat and Custom Bed

Dog owners know how driving with their dog can be both a fun and a nightmare. Sometimes, it happens multiple times during one trip. In Japan, the dealer network Flex offers a customized Toyota HiAce called the Dog Van.

Modular beds with eight moving parts are a key part of customization. The bed can be adjusted in height according to the dimensions of your dog’s cage. A mat can be placed on the flat area to provide a comfortable place for your dog to lay down if he prefers to move around the cabin.

Flat extenders are also available that increase the legroom in the second row. This gives your dog more space to move around. It can be paired with a piece that extends from the center console. This allows your dog to stand between the front seats. You can attach a leash or padding to the hook.

A cargo mat with a non-slip coating is another option. It can also be antibacterial and fights odors. Dogs can get fresh air through a window screen. For even more airflow, owners can add a fan.

Flex also offers a front spoiler and fender covers as well as an auxiliary corner mirror to the HiAce. Your dog will be able to ride in style at least.

The HiAce shown in these images comes with all the bells & whistles of Flex’s Dog Van range. The company actually offers the parts separately so that a person can set up their Toyota to suit their dog’s needs.

The HiAce isn’t available in the US. There are many aftermarket options for dog-friendly upgrades.
