Originally introduced to the world almost three decades ago during the 1993 Frankfurt Motor Show, the one-off supercar is powered by a Mercedes-Benz-sourced M120 6.0-liter V12 engine delivering 400 horsepower (294 kilowatts). This engine is also used by the Pagani Zonda. It is mated with a six-speed Getrag manual transmission in the Isdera.
The German manufacturer did not have a six speed transmission. RUF modified an existing five speed Getrag ‘box and added a sixth gear. The Commendatore 112i, which also shares a V12 engine with the Mercedes-Benz SL600 AMG and weighed in at 3,256 pounds (1.477 kgs), was capable of accelerating from a standing stop to 62 MPH (0-100 km/h) in 4.7 seconds.
Isdera purchased the car in 2016, and restored it to its original form. The supercar was sold to its current owner on 13 February 2021 for EUR1,113,125, or $1,287 5,535 at current exchange rates.
