It’s too bad that it’s not real.
We are unlikely to see a two-door Gladiator official from Jeep. The general public does not want a two-seater pickup truck, however cool it might look. They don’t want small Jeeps, either. The four-door Wrangler is far more popular than the two-door model. Be open to digital creations, my friends. They are likely to be our only way into the world of compact Jeep truck trucks.
This rendering is a wonderful window! Abimelec Design is renowned for creating amazing designs, and this Gladiator has two doors and a small bed. This rendering appears to be a Jeep with a low profile, although the Facebook post states that the design has been slightly lifted. It looks great on a trail or track thanks to the wide track and big off-road tires.
This rendering, like the past renderings by AbimelecDesign, doesn’t just show one exterior view. Two-door Gladiator is shown from different angles, front to back. It is also possible to see the engine through the hood. It is not the Hemi V8 of the Wrangler 392. The Ford 7.3-liter V8 is featured in this fictional Gladiator. It’s actually quite compact thanks to its cam–in-block pushrod design. It’s not clear how it would fit under the Gladiator’s hood, but this unofficial rendering shows it looking great.
Although it is unlikely that Jeep would ever build a truck like this, the Gladiator J6 concept was created by the brand in 2019. It was inspired by the 1978 Jeep Honcho and is shown above. A two-door Gladiator might be possible, but it’s not impossible.
