Finally, the row-yourself option for beefy Broncos is available.
The Ford Bronco has not had the best news lately. Bronco enthusiasts need to win, between the airbag recall as well as the widespread roof issues that caused production delays. The confirmation that the manual transmission will be available on 2022 models equipped with the Sasquatch package may help Bronco fans win.
Recent information about the 2022 model was shared in the forums at Bronco6.com. This included a pricing guide and an order guide. Many of these details were already known, or at least expected to be so, even the manual-equipped Sasquatch Broncos. This is an important point because we now have solid confirmation that it will be coming in 2022.
This is a significant deal considering how the global semiconductor shortage has affected almost every aspect of global automaker production. This includes the temporary cancellations of optional items such as Super cruise on the new Cadillac Escalade or Jeep’s Quadra Lift suspension on the Grand Cherokee L. Given the supply shortages and the high-profile quality issues surrounding Bronco’s hardtops, it would not surprise that Ford raised the manual option for the Sasquatch package up to 2023.
Bronco buyers will now be able to choose between the seven-speed manual and the powerful off-road package. However, the four-cylinder engine is still the only option. Hot Pepper Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat was added to the exterior, and Eruption Green Metallic was removed. Bronco6g reports that pricing has been slightly increased depending on trim level. However, it appears to all be in the range of $250.
The big question is, however, whether 2022 Bronco buyers will be able to take delivery of their Broncos in 2022. Many Bronco orders are still incomplete due to delays in production. It is difficult to predict when new orders will be fulfilled and delivered.
