You can also open and close the doors, hood and tailgate.

Although woodworking and automobiles might seem odd, it has been the perfect combination for one YouTuber. Woodworking Art is a channel that makes stunning wooden replicas of automobiles. The artist does more than just carve a car’s body. His latest creation, a Ford Ranger Raptor pickup has a functioning hood, tailgate, doors and suspension.

He starts with a block of wooden wood and then he grafts on the truck’s silhouette. He slowly cuts, carves and chisels the block into the rough outline of a pickup. He then begins to shape the block of wood, cutting thin pieces of wood to give it more definition. He makes the hood, tailgate, engine and headlights. He takes no time to get to the truck’s finer points, shaping the truck’s busy front end. He even includes the towhooks.

Functional suspension is the most striking aspect of the entire build. He begins with the front suspension and assembles the control arms, hubs, springs and steering components. It turns too. The rear axle is simpler, with a single axle, trailing arms and springs. The chassis supports the spare tire, which hangs under the bed, and the dual exhaust system at the back.

The last part of the video shows him putting together the Ranger. He attaches the chassis to the body and adds chrome trim, clear plastic covers for the headlights, and red covers for the taillights. Although there is no interior, he created the space. Other automotive creations include the Audi Q7 and the 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. There are many others, including several Toyota SUVs.
