However, there is more standard equipment.
Maserati will make changes to its model lineup in the 2022 model-year. The brand’s two core models, Levanteand Ghibli will get new trim levels and special edition models. Although it’s not obvious at first glance, there are some important additions to standard equipment that can make a big difference.
CarsDirect derived data from the brand’s order guides, which revealed that the 2022 Ghibli will start at $76,200 excluding destinations, compared to $72,190 for 2021. Maserati decided to drop the Ghibli base model for the new year, and replace it by a Ghibli GT trim level.
Maserati spokesmen confirmed that the new base grade will come with a 3.0-liter V6 engine rated at 345 horsepower. This allows for acceleration of 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in just 5.5 seconds. Standard equipment will include black brake discs, a variety of driver assistance systems, as well as a wireless charging pad. We don’t anticipate any major changes in pricing for the more costly models, but we have not yet revealed the details.
The Ghibli will be available in four trim levels for the model year 2022, which the automaker refers to as styles. Side note: The sporty sedan was available in 10 styles during its first year on the market. These are now reduced to the Modena, Modena Q4, Trofeo, and GT for the new model year. CarsDirect reports that there will be many customization options available. This could potentially bring the Ghibli GT’s cost to around $82,000.
Maserati recently announced that the Ghibli Special Edition and the Levante F Tributo Special Edition would be available in the United States. The Ghibli F Tributo will be available in two exclusive colors: Rosso Tributo (99,890) and Levante F Tributo (101,590).
