4×4 models are getting an electronically-controlled transfer case and low-range 4×4 gearing and enable the facelifted Ranger to provide a towing capacity of 3,500 kg (7,716 lbs). Ford claims that they have improved the suspension’s handling and comfort, while the electric power assisted steering will provide better control.
Ford’s SYNC 2 infotainment systems will be available for the 2015 Ranger. It features an 8-inch touchscreen display and a variety of safety & assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep alert, lane keeping aid front & rear, forward alert, hill launch assistance, hill descent control adaptive load control, emergency brake assistance, and forward alert.
