This year’s list includes a few affordable cars.
Ward’s Auto has just released their 2021 10 Best Interiors List. Crossovers account for seven entries in this year’s list. Only two are traditional cars.
Ward’s began with 33 vehicles and reduced them to the top 10. Ward’s must have a new or substantially improved vehicle to be eligible for the list. Materials, comfort, safety, fit and finish, aesthetics, design harmony, and ergonomics are all factors that will be considered when scoring a vehicle.
Below you will find a photo of each winner and a photo from its cabin.
Bentley Bentayga Speed
Ward’s is not surprised to give high praises to the Bentayga Speed for its materials and quality, as that is what a Bentley is meant to do. This crossover is the most expensive vehicle this year, with a cost of $303,910 and more than $50,000 in options. You get what you pay.
Ford F-150
Ward’s says the F-150’s strengths include the interior work surface available and the fold-flat front seats. This is also the only pickup that made this year’s list. This truck is an excellent example of how modern vehicles in this segment can provide luxuries while still being capable of hauling and towing.
Ford Mustang Mach-E
The Mach-E is our top choice for an EV. Ward’s likes the sleek, modern styling. The cabin is well-integrated and not flashy, but it works well.
GMC Yukon Denali XL
GMC Yukon XL, a body-on-frame SUV, is the only one to make this year’s list. Ward’s appreciates the metallic trim and open-pore teak inlays. Because of its enormous size, the third row is big enough to be used by most people and still provide comfort.
Honda Civic
The Honda Civic is cheaper than many other vehicles on the list. However, the interior is still very nice despite its low price. Ward’s particularly likes the elegant piece of aluminum on the dashboard that gives the car an upmarket look.
Hyundai Tucson
The interior of the Hyundai Tucson is beautiful, and it works well. Ward really enjoys the tactile feedback from the buttons and switches on the steering wheel. The layout is stylish and cohesive.
Jeep Grand Cherokee L
Ward’s recognizes the significant improvements made by Jeep to the interior of the new Grand Cherokee L. This combination of leather and wood is like a spacious room with a stunning view.
Land Rover Defender
The Land Rover Defender’s cabin is not as attractive as the others on this list. Ward’s admits that the interior of the Defender isn’t as beautiful as it could be. Its functionality is sufficient to be considered for this year’s list.
Mercedes-Benz S-Class
If the interior of a new Mercedes-Benz S-Class isn’t praised, then something is seriously wrong. It is easy to see why this sedan made the list.
Mitsubishi Outlander
Here’s the surprise. The latest Mitsubishi Outlander, in a list that includes a Bentley and a Mercedes-Benz is also a top pick. Ward thought this vehicle was very well-designed and made for a price of $38,590.
