10-Mile Honda CR-X In Perfect Condition Comes Up For Sale

Are you willing to add more miles?

There have been many high-mileage and low-mileage stories about cars. We’d love to hear how those cars ended up with such high mileage. This time, we feature a Honda CR-X with hardly any movement in over 30 years.

We mean barely moved when we use the term “hardly moved”. The 1990 Honda CR-X in Portugal, has only traveled 17 km (10.5 miles) since its purchase. Museums have cars with more miles than their wheels. There are even commutes that take longer than the miles on a small sports coupe. What’s the story behind this particular CRX?

Garagisti states that this CRX 1.6i-16 (the SiR equivalent in Europe) was driven from Santomar Honda’s Lisbon dealership to a private garage. It sat on top of four jackstands for several decades until it was finally taken off the ground. It is amazing to think that the wheels have not touched the ground for all these years.

It doesn’t necessarily mean that the car was abandoned until it was discovered. According to the website, the car still has its original paper carpet covers, factory markings, and even its tires. It is claimed that the car still has the oil Honda used from the factory more than 30 years ago. According to the site, the only things that are not original in this car are the brake fluid (and the battery).

The exterior of the vehicle looks impeccable in photos. The car’s silver exterior is likely due to the fact that it hasn’t seen sunlight in a while. Even the sunroof mechanism looks as if it was just yesterday. The interior is almost identical.

What about the price? Garagisti did not mention it but it is likely to raise eyebrows in the Honda and classic car communities.
