Brabus Ultimate E is a pint-sized purple Smart EQ for Frankfurt

It will only be made 28 EVs, and the price is almost as high as a BMW M4.

It’s not the first time Brabus has displayed its talents on the tiny SmartEQ fortwo electric car. This is not the first Brabus Ultimate E to appear on the main stage at an auto show. The tuning company unveiled its Ultimate E Shadow Edition in spring 2019. It features a big exterior body kit, an upgraded interior, and a little more power (91 horsepower). The only difference is the interior layout and color. It’s not the Brabus Ultimate E Shadow Edition.

Widestar adds a widestar body kit to the car that includes a front spoiler and rear diffuser, rocker panels, and wider tires. Brabus says the add-ons were wind tunnel-developed. Particularly This is crucial considering the EV’s incredible 0-60 mph sprint time of 10.9 seconds, and top speed of 81 mph. These modifications allow the city car’s 18-inch wheels to be fitted with 235/30 series rubber at the back. The suspension has been further modified. Although the Brabus Ultimate E doesn’t have the fastest speed, it can be quite agile in corners.

You’ll find the typical Brabus cockpit, which is adorned with leather, Alcantara and fancy trim. The greenhouse is lit up with purple accents and green contrast stitching. The pedals, parking brake lever, shift knob and parking brake lever all contain aluminum. Stainless steel footrests give the footwell a little more shine. Brabus branding completes this Ultimate E outfit.

Brabus will build only 28 copies of the purple Ultimate E, just like the Shadow Edition. This is a staggering price, and would translate to $65,100 in U.S currency if it was offered for sale stateside. It will be on display at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show starting next week.
