After being alerted, other motorists stopped the dump truck.
This bizarre incident, involving a dump truck & Mini Cooper, occurred in Toronto, Canada this week. Courtenay Ernhardt, 26, was making her daily commute to work on the Gardiner Expressway. It was a normal day, until Courtenay Ernhardt’s vehicle was hit and turned upside down by a dump truck. The truck continued driving for half a mile before it came to a halt.
The truck collided with the Mini Cooper’s red Mini Cooper and continued to move until a motorist pulled up in front to slow it down. Contrary to what the truck did not do, video footage shows a lot of tire smoke and the rear hatchback being pulled along the side of an expressway. Authorities reported that the truck continued to drive for almost.435 miles (735 meters).
Ernhardt stated that she was traveling to give Covid-19 vaccines for homeless people. Ernhardt is from a family full of healthcare workers. She says that she was grateful to be alive, despite the semantics.
According to police, the truck driver was charged with multiple driving and commercial motor vehicle offences. He was apparently unaware of the incident until it was over.
