It appears that the rear seat tilts in a nearly flat position.
The Audi Urbansphere’s latest teaser video gives us a glimpse of the exterior and interior. The Audi Urbansphere will make its debut on April 19.
The video begins with the taillights, followed by the headlamps. Both ends have quite a few LED lamps. We then see Yuan Yuan Tan, prima ballerina. She enters the Urbansphere. The chair has a headrest that wraps around her head.
We will see more of the cabin next. The console is located between the seats and opens to reveal four cups each of tea. This console is likely heated to keep the drinks warm.
From the teaser, the illuminated walls were still visible. The controller appears to allow the seats to be moved into a nearly horizontal position. This would make it possible for people to nap on the road.
The dashboard is shown in the final image. On the right is the phrase “Floating Membrane”. There are no buttons.
Because of the dark lighting, the previous teaser for Urbansphere concept didn’t allow us to see much of it. The long windshield and narrow nose are visible. Two rows of seats can be seen, as well as lights inside the cabin.
Audi also displayed a drawing of Urbansphere. The concept is depicted as a large crossover. The rear is surrounded by a thick pillar. The rear and front overhangs are both short.
The Urbansphere is third in the “sphere family” of concepts. It aims to demonstrate future forms for autonomous driving. The Skysphere was first as an open-roof sports car that can extend or retract. The Grandsphere was an luxury sedan measuring 17.6 feet in length to create a spacious cabin.
These concepts are not yet in production. These vehicles give a glimpse into the future plans of Audi.
