The Delica D:5 Toughx Tough minivan is an unusual design with a raised suspension and off-road upgrades.
We know that Mitsubishi’s major debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2022 will be the Vision Ralliart Concept, which will be displayed alongside the Outlander Ralliart Style. TAS will feature a third vehicle with the same brand, which Mitsu has been using for more than ten years. Unfortunately, we’re talking about a smaller crossover, the Eclipse Cross in the Ralliart Style specification.
You can also make it more visually appealing by adding a few red accents to the car and a side sticker. The Eclipse Cross evokes the glory days the Lancer Evolution rally car. It has mudflaps. Mitsubishi fitted a large roof spoiler in black with a red underneath to distinguish it from other crossovers.
TAS will host a more adventurous Delica HTML5 version, which was based on the new minivan’s facelift in 2019. It also recalls the days when Mitsubishi produced outdoor-oriented derivatives of its JDM family hauler. The rugged version is branded with the suffix “Tough x Tough”, and has a higher suspension to increase ground clearance.
The van sits on 16-inch wheels with all-terrain tires wrapped around them. It also has black plastic flares with exposed rivets. To enhance its mobility, the TAS-bound van also has a front bullbar, rear bumper guard and mud flaps. The upgrades include a rooftop tent and a sleeping pad that creates a flat bed above the second and third rows of seats.
The K-EV concept X Style is a fully electric kei car. The first previews the small EV that was co-developed by Nissan Japan. It is finished in solid matte blue and has a copper roof. This second model has a moss-green body and an ivory roof. It explores the possibility of a small commercial vehicle that can be charged bidirectionally.
These concepts will all be on display at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2022 from January 14-16.
