For more headroom, the camper with hard sides can be expanded.
Many pop-up campers with trunk beds come with compromises. Because of their compact size, they require creative thinking to pack the camper. This often involves using canvas to cover a portion. The Nimbl Evolution has a hard-sided, expandable top that maximizes living space and doesn’t compromise interior comfort.
Monocoque designs are made using a unique combination of fiberglass and hand-load carbon fibre. These materials keep the weight down while increasing aerodynamic efficiency. This design makes it possible to create an expansive, spacious and feature-packed interior with all the creature comforts that you would expect. A two-burner induction stovetop, DC refrigerator, sink, and plenty of storage are all included. The truck cab also has a queen-size bed for two people. However, the dinette can be converted into a smaller sleeping area that is perfect for children.
The camper includes an LED UV water sterilization, an 80-gallon freshwater storage tank, a 24-gallon greywater tank, a diesel heater, as well as a hot water system. There are many options available to the truck, including a microwave and an air conditioner. The Evolution was designed by Nimbl with the Ford F-350 as a base, but the company can also fit it on any 1-ton pickup, Ford or Chevy. The camper can safely be mounted on almost any 1-ton truck.
Nimbl shows off the camper mounted on a modified Ford F-350 chassis. This has been improved to allow for more overlanding. The 35-inch tires connect to the Icon Vehicle Dynamics suspension system, which includes remote reservoir shocks and front coilovers. Rear leaf-packs are forged, giving the truck an additional two inches of lift. Ford’s 7.3-liter V8 is paired with the 10-speed automatic transmission. It runs on a 48-gallon fuel tank.
