It is a stunning sound and delivers incredible performance.
The Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Omologata, or simply STO, is a road-legal variant of the brand’s single-make race car. The AutoTopNL ignores the track and takes it on a high-speed ride on the autobahn. The speedometer indicates that the machine reached 323 km/h (200.7 miles per an hour).
The Huracan STO’s driver takes the Huracan STO on some rural roads and trees before it hits the autobahn. The V10 engine’s 5.2-liter displacement makes many pops and bangs. The engine loves to rev.
The GPS monitor shows that the Huracan STO hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.19 seconds, and 3.42 seconds during the observed runs. This is slightly slower that the factory estimate of 3.0 second.
This clip shows the sprint to 124 mph (200 km/h) in 9.1 seconds. This time is exactly the same as Lambo’s official estimate at 9.0 seconds.
The GPS shows that the Huracan STO travels at 190.1 mph (306 km/h) when it reaches the top speed. Although this is slightly slower than the speedometer indicated, it still represents a remarkable speed for a public road. Lambo claims that the speed of the track-focused model is 193 mph (310 km/h).
The Huracan STO is focused on reducing weight and increasing performance. The body is made up of over 75% carbon fiber and the windshield is 20% lighter. The wheels are made of magnesium. These tweaks enable a dry weight of 2,951 lbs (1,339 kg).
The Huracan Evo’s 5.2-liter V10 is still in use. It produces 630 horsepower (470kilowatts) as well as 417 pound-feet (565 Newton meters) of torque. The power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels by a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox.
The Huracan STO is available for purchase at $327,838 US. This model is the most expensive in the Huracan range.
