We call it pseudo as it doesn’t provide a complete list of options, pricing is not available, and there’s no option to place an online order. We want to keep the Z06 excitement going, and we are excited. The car sounds like a symphony orchestra, with its DOHC-5.5-liter V8 revving up to 8,600 rpm. So we went to the visualizer and created our vision of what it should look like. The hardtop convertible is our choice because it allows us to hear the engine and looks great. Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat is the color we chose because there’s something special about a Corvette, especially with the Z07 package’s big wings and carbon-fiber wheels.
You can have the hardcore performance package when you buy the convertible. Chevrolet claims that the C8’s design is so strong that it doesn’t need extra bracing to support the retractable roof. We’ll take it. Because there is no way to have too much Corvette red, we also chose the Adrenaline Red interior. We tried to change the visualization but it crashed every time. Perhaps it is fate?
Our choice is a Corvette Z06 3LZ convertible in Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat, with a bright red interior and a body-color roof. The Z07 Performance Package adds carbon-ceramic brakes to the car, as well as the large rear wing, underbody and strakes, and winglets at the front. However, the carbon-fiber wheels with visible weave are an extra.
What is the estimated price of the car? Chevrolet won’t talk about the price of the Z06, but considering that a Stingray convertible with a fancy interior sells for more than $100,000, it is likely that it will cost much more. We will find out closer the Z06 production date of the summer 2022.
