2022 Toyota GR86 Prices Starting at $27,700 with Manual Transmission

This is a small improvement over the previous generation.

There aren’t many cars that are affordable and are dedicated to driving for the pure pleasure. The Toyota GR86 delivers the traditional front-engine rear drive formula with three pedals, and enough power to entertain. The good news is that the price of the sports car has not increased from its predecessor.

The entry-level GR86 will cost you $27,700. This is $640 more than the previous model, which had a slower engine. The mandatory $1,025, which was the same as the old model’s delivery fee, is not included in the price. You’ll pay $28,725 for a basic model 2022 GR86, which still has the same 228 horsepower (170-kilowatt), 2.4-liter four pot and smooth-shifting six speed manual as the more costly model.

The GR86 Premium is also more expensive than its predecessor, but only a slight increase. The starting price is $30,300, and it rises to $31,325 after the mandatory fee.

The price of an automatic transmission will increase by $1,500, regardless of whether you select the Premium or base model. Ask yourself: Do you really need a GR86 with an auto transmission? The GR86 was driven by us in August. We found it to be a great car. The Toyota claims a 0-60 mph speed of 6.1 seconds when you are rowing your own gears.

We didn’t mind driving six-speed automatic. It can be left alone or paddle-shifted if you wish. We were impressed by the gearbox’s responsive shifts and redline-loving nature.

Dealerships should receive the 2022 Toyota GR86 in December.
