Sung Kang will also be appearing in the latest 240Z project.
It’s SEMA Show season again. While registration is now open for the public, automakers are revealing one-by-one their entries for the country’s largest celebration of aftermarket builds.
Nissan is the latest automaker that has announced its entries. Its models include Project Overland models, which make use of NISMO Off Road parts. A celebrity build will also be on display, based upon a rally winner from the 1970s.
The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder receives a slew of Nismo off Road parts this year’s SEMA. The Project Overland Pathfinder is designed to be an adventure-ready family vehicle. It comes with a variety of modifications such as a prototype Nismo Off Road 2-inch lift kit that features custom Bilstein-sourced monotube gas-pressurized shocks. The custom 18×8-inch Nismo Off Road wheels are mounted with Maxxis AZR AT tires.
Project Overland Pathfinder also includes a prototype Nismo Off Road expedition rooftop rack, Roa Adventure Company Roa 83L Rugged cases, Nismo Off Road 6-inch driving lights, a custom-fabricated front bumper guard with Rigid 4-inch D-Series drivers lamps, custom-fabricated rock rails and RIGd UltraSwing Multi-Fit Haitch Carrier with UltraTable. The inside contains an Egoe Nestbox Conversion Kit, which includes a camp kitchen and a sleeping platform system.

Primary upgrades include Off Road Performance Suspension kit, which is adjusted to provide a 2-inch lift in the front. SPC Front Upper control arms with xAxis sealed flexible joints allow for greater travel. The rear is equipped with Nismo Off Road performance damp absorbers with remote reservoirs. They are used in conjunction with Custom Nismo Off Road leaf springs. This gives them a 2 inch lift and greater load-carrying capability. Along with many other upgrades, the package includes 17×7.5-inch Nismo On Road AXIS wheels with 285/70-17 MaxxisRAZR MT tires and additional accessories.
Sung Kang will also be displaying Nissan’s DocZ build at 2021 SEMA Show. The DocZ is based on the 1971 East African Safari Rally winner. It features a tuned L24 with triple Weber carbs and custom exhaust. This produces an undisclosed amount horsepower and torque. The 16-inch ’78 Nanakorobi Yaoki’ wheels are a tribute to the Z432-style Kobe Seiko wheel.
From November 2-5, 2021 SEMA Show will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Along with the Hardbody-wearing Rebelle Rally Frontier, the Altimaniac and the new Nissan Z car will be present at Nissan’s booth at the 2021 SEMA Show.
