The interior of the camper is modular.
Loki Basecamp has been teasing its new Icarus truck camping vehicle since the summer. There have been many official renderings that reveal an intriguing new product. These renderings are now reality. Take a look at this production model in all its glory. It looks like the future camping.
The company’s second model, the Icarus is lighter and smaller than its Falcon. This makes it more attractive for overland rigs. The new Falcon’s size and construction don’t change too much. Customers can personalize the interior of the new Icarus with modular design by the brand.
The truck cab has a full bed, which extends to the interior. But that’s not all. There’s plenty of storage and multi-function seating. A mobile induction stovetop and stainless-steel sink are included in the kitchenette. Hidden storage is available for the portable toilet. The interior space can be used for a mudroom, mobile shower or additional seating.
R16 insulation is used in the four-season camper. A Webasto Heating Unit heats hot air and hot liquids, while a 12-volt AC conditioner cools things down. With an integrated lithium battery pack, roof top solar panels can produce up to 300 watts. The Icarus comes with a 15-gallon freshwater and a 13 gallon gray water tanks. The Icarus’ exterior features include a modular rack system, which can hold a variety of accessories and goods, as well as a retractable umbrella.
Two models will be available: the Icarus 6 or 8. The Icarus 6 can be used for trucks with 6.5-foot beds, while the Icarus 8 is suitable for trucks with 8.0-foot beds. Prices start at $69,000 and there are many options. Pre-orders are now possible with a $5,000 deposit. There is also the possibility of an EV compatible camper.
