In the first quarter 2022, deliveries of production units will begin.
It was a controversial decision to resurrect the Lamborghini Countach. It is not considered a Countach by some, and others see it as a marketing strategy to sell cars to wealthy people. But, there’s nothing more controversial than Marcello Gandini, the original Countach design, not approving this remade model.
Despite this, the Italian marque still plans to sell-out Countach in the first quarter 2022. YouTube’s Varryx has captured one of the units in action.
A familiar white 2022 Lamborghini Countach Lamborghini Countach 8004 was seen leaving a facility. Although it’s not clear if this unit is one of the 112 ever produced, we believe that it was the same unit we saw when the remake model launched back in August. It’s difficult to see if damage from the Monterey Car Week occurred, so it should be visible on the left rear wheels.
However, we would like to see the new Countach in other colors than white. More than 30 color options are available – a mixture of traditional 1970s Countach colors and modern shades.
The new Countach LPI 800-4 is powered a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine. It produces 769 horsepower (573 kilowatts) by itself. The 34-hp (25 kW) electric motor is powered by Lamborghini’s 48-volt supercapacitor technology. This produces an output of 803 horsepower (599 kW), which is sent to all four wheels via the seven-speed gearbox.
The performance figures include a sprint of 60 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds and 124 mph in 8.6 secs. A top speed of 221 mph makes the remake the fastest and most efficient Countach ever.
