MyChevrolet App Reveals 2022 GMC Hummer Electric Vehicles’ 334 Mile Range

It’s not quite what was expected, but it’s still not official.

General Motors’ 2022 GMC Hummer E-V revealed that the electric pickup truck had a range of over 350 miles. Although the 24-module, double-stacked, battery pack should be able to travel as far as the above-mentioned number, it appears that the actual range is quite different, as was revealed in an unconventional manner.

The MyChevrolet App was the source of the “leak”, which was discovered by BahamaTodd from HummerChat (with screenshots). To get more information, the user needed to navigate to More > Explore EEV > Energy Assist in the app. The 2022 Hummer EV was featured with the Bolt EV (and their official EPA-estimated ranges), and the electric pickup showed 334 miles at 100 percent charge.

The screen captures and user comments show that selecting the Hummer EV from the menu resulted in route planning based upon the 334 mile range. Notably, the estimated range of the GMC Hummer EV has not yet been released by EPA.

Before you go to get your phone to verify that the information is there, remember that it was added after the original poster updated the app to version 5.7.0.

This should be taken with a grain of salt, however. There are many things to take into consideration, including the possibility that the number was a fluke by GM and that the number should not have been disclosed at all. This number could also be related to the Hummer Evo 1 that sold out, and which includes massive 35-inch tires as part the Extreme Off-Road package. You will see a higher number of tires with less aggressive treading on the road. There are many factors that can influence this.

EPA estimates must be considered as estimates. The real world range numbers may vary depending on the used.
