GLI Autobahn is a sportier version that starts at $30.995.
While automakers love to talk about their new SUVs and crossovers, there are still dedicated sedan buyers who need to be driven. The Volkswagen Jetta is here to help. German automaker Volkswagen Jetta will be updating the model’s styling, powertrain options, and trim line for the 2022 model-year. The new price for the model is $20,195.
This amount will buy you a great deal – the entry-level S trim, with the manual gearbox and automatic transmission, starts at $20.195. Prices do not include the $995 destination fee. To start, the auto-equipped model costs $20,995. The attractive price doesn’t necessarily mean Volkswagen cuts corners on the goodies. The S will come with LED headlights/taillights, LED daytime run lights, heated side mirrors, and VW’s Digital Cockpit, which has an 8.0-inch display.
The standard S-trim safety tech includes forward collision warning and autonomous emergency brake with pedestrian monitoring, blind spot monitoring and rear traffic alert. Optional $955 IQ.Drive/Drive Assistance (manual), packages include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and Travel Assist. The IQ.Drive/Drive assistance packages come with a free Convenience package that includes rain-sensing wipers, an auto-dimming backview mirror, and leather-wrapped steering wheels.

The price of the manual-equipped 2022GLI is $30,995, and the auto at $31,795. The GLI focuses on its sportier nature, offering a VAQ electronically-controlled torque-sensing limited-slip differential and XDS, a DCC adaptive damping system, a sport exhaust, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Black package available for $595 includes 18-inch alloy heels and a black roof, spoiler, and black mirror caps.
