Lance Launches Compact Overlanding Camper Trailer Concept that Sleeps Six

At the 2021 SEMA Show, you can see the “Adventure Pass” combination with a custom VW Atlas.

We’ve seen trailers, truck topper from Lance Camper but this trailer with an overland theme is new. The Enduro is the name of this trailer. Lance Camper wants to keep it a prototype so it’s not yet available for purchase. A production model is expected to soon follow, with off-grid capabilities, a full bathroom and kitchen, and the ability to sleep six in a small trailer.

Lance’s Enduro is a brand new product. It was created for backcountry adventure and travel to remote locations. It rides on a Timbren independent suspension system with heavy all-terrain tires to provide better ground clearance. It is compact and easy to maneuver due to its single-axle design, which measures 18 feet. Its 2,700-pound weight is due to the extensive use of composite construction. This makes it easy to tow even small crossovers and SUVs. This is why the trailer connects to a fully-equipped Volkswagen Atlas. We’ll discuss this in more detail later.

The Enduro, despite its size, is a fully-equipped trailer that can be used for extended off-grid adventures. A wedge-shaped exterior opens up to an interior that features a U-shaped dinette and can be converted into a queen-sized bed. Two dropdown bunks provide space for additional sleepers. The rooftop tent can accommodate six more. The camper is equipped with heating and air conditioning to make it more comfortable.

Six adventure-seekers will share an indoor shower and cassette toilet. A comprehensive outdoor kitchen can be found at the rear. The 100Ah lithium battery can be charged using two 100-watt solar cells. A water purifier system can be added to the trailer to help you stay off-grid for longer periods. The trailer holds 45 gallons (fresh) and 25 gallons (grey). A cell signal booster is available if you don’t want to be completely disconnected.

Lance Camper created a tow vehicle that is unique and compact for the overlanding community. Although the VW Atlas is most commonly found on pavement, it can be found higher on coilover suspension with airbags for leveling support and a set 17-inch all-terrain wheels. The roof rack houses cargo cases and other accessories, including off-road lights, recovery boards and other exterior accessories. There’s a new sound system inside, as well as many storage options.

Although this trailer is a concept, it doesn’t mention pricing or availability for Enduro. However, plans are being made to bring this prototype into production. This “Adventure Pass” combo will only be used to impress the crowds at 2021 SEMA Show. The event will take place in Las Vegas from November 2-5.
