A stunning battle is possible with similar specs.
It is easier than ever to create a high-performance vehicle due to changing tastes and new technologies. Many brands offer SUVs that have supercar-level power, while electric cars continue to show their superiority. What happens when these two trends clash? The track isn’t always easy to decide the winner. But Daniel Abt has a YouTube video that attempts to answer this question.
The Lamborghini Urus, Audi RS E-Tron GT have similar specifications. The Lamborghini’s twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V8 produces 641 horsepower (477 Kilowatts) as well as 626 pound-feet (685 Newton-meters) in torque. Audi’s electric motor produces 637 horsepower (475 kW) as well as 612 lb/ft (830 Nm). Both transmit power to all four wheels. However, the Audi weighs in at 485 pounds (220 kg).
Even with all four of them trying to grip the track, Audi failed to gain traction in the first quarter-mile drag race. The RS E-Tron GT managed to reach 62 miles an hour (100 km per hour) in 3.63 second. It crossed the finish line in 11.4 seconds and 125.31 mph (201.67 kph). It was completed by the Urus in 11.84 seconds, at 121.76mph (195.05mph). The Urus was faster in the second race, finishing it in 11.83 seconds at 121.76 mph (195.05 mph). The Audi finished the race in 11.42 seconds.
Although the two vehicles may weigh the same, the Urus is heavier than the Audi sedan. However, the Urus has more airflow and more surface area. Aerodynamics didn’t help the Urus. The final race, which was a rolling start, wasn’t even a race. The Audi’s instant power put the Turbocharged Lamborghini out of reach. This highlights one major advantage EVs have over their combustion-powered counterparts, even though their spec sheets may look identical. The electric vehicle is a major change.
