Chevy Silverado Single Cab, Short Box To Return In Work Truck Trim

It is expected to arrive in 2022 for the model year.

Since April, when Chevy gave its first inclination to the body design could return, hopes of a single-cab, short-bed Chevy Silverado pickup are simmering. Chevy makes it, and it does so for other markets. The 2022 model could be a change as rumors suggest that the truck’s body design will return with a redesign. However, not everyone might like it.

According to a new GM Authority Report, anonymous sources claim that Chevy will limit its availability to the WT trim of the base-model work truck. It is exciting to see it return. However, it is disappointing that it will only come in the WT trim. This will allow the truck’s better features and aesthetics to be available in other body styles and higher trims. Silverados with a single cab and shorter bed are also available in the Middle East. Chevy offers the Trail Boss in this configuration.

The Silverado received a major refresh by Chevy for the model year 2022. This included improvements to the interior. The dash has large 13.4- and 12.3-inch screens, but you should not expect them on the WT trim. This interior is only for LT trucks up. Chevy has also modified the truck’s powertrain lineup. The turbo four-cylinder produces more torque and the inline-six turbo diesel delivers more towing power. In the new Silverado WT, the four-cylinder and 5.-3-liter V8 will be available in the single-cab, short-bed Silverado WT.

Although it would seem like such a pickup would be a staple in the brand’s lineup of trucks, trucks have shifted to luxury products. This means that they cater to families on the go and other people who may not use a truck at its full potential. Two-door pickups are not appealing and Chevy offers a similar setup with a standard bed. Chevy may offer this option, and the aftermarket scene might make the truck even more desirable.
