Carbon-fiber body kits can improve the appearance of your vehicle.
Mercedes launched the Maybach GLS two years ago. While the luxury marquee is now looking towards electric vehicles in the future, tuners such as Brabus will still have fun while they wait. Brabus 800 is another powerful vehicle that the aftermarket company created. It transforms the Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 4Matic into an SUV-class performance vehicle.
A new carbon-fiber body kit, which is aerodynamically designed and made of carbon-fiber, gives the GLS a complete visual overhaul. This improves the GLS’s appearance and performance. The SUV’s front splitter and intake trim have been updated to give it a fresh look and decrease front-end lift when driving at high speeds. Brabus also changed the shiny chrome with Shadow Gray to match the black exterior. Brabus also upgraded the lower valance at the rear to add a new center diffuser as well as cutouts for Brabus’ sport exhaust system tailpipes.
Brabus also modifies the powertrain to increase the 557 horsepower (410 Kilowatts) or 538 poundfeet (730 Newton meters) of torque to 800 HP (588 kW) or 701 lbft (950 Nm). This is a significant increase that can propel the GLS to speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds. This isn’t supercar speed, but it’s still quite impressive for such a small machine. Brabus turbochargers increase the power output of the 4.0-liter V8. Brabus electronically limits the maximum speed to 186 mph (307 kph).
The tuner replaces the wheels with its Monoblock M Platinum Edition 24-inch aluminum alloy ones. The wheels are placed underneath carbon-finber flares and the alloy fills out the wheel arches with its recalibrated Airmatic suspension system. Brabus reduces the SUV’s height by approximately 1 inch (25 millimeters). Brabus offers a wide range of interior options, which Brabus can customize to suit the customer’s needs. However, Brabus will finish the interior trim and switches with Shadow Gray just as the exterior.
