Peugeot Launches Two Tiny Camper Vans for European Adventurers

The tiny campers will be making their public debuts at Caravan Salon 2019, later in the month.

There are many types of campers, but the vanlife universe often shows the extremes. There are huge RVs larger than most houses, crazy overlanders who can conquer Mars, and small guys who charm us with their clever use of space. These Peugeots are a great example of the former.

The Peugeot Partner is the base for the first, and the Alpin Camper in Germany handles the upfit. It looks great from the outside. But that’s only part of its appeal. The only thing that makes it cozy is its roll-up roof-mounted canopy. And when you open the doors, that’s exactly what you will find.

The van’s left side has a sofa that can be converted into a bed for two. The right side has a kitchen, which includes a sink and a cartridge stove. It is ideal for weekend getaways, with plenty of storage underneath the sofa and countertop.

The Peugeot Traveller is a three-row van with more space, but it still falls within the easy-to drive category. The camper module is designed to fit inside a variety of vans. The Ischer iBox is the name of the product. It takes up a little more space than the Partner’s traditional conversion. The plug-in provides a comfortable bed that covers the entire back of the Traveller, with slide-out kitchen components underneath, including a sink and a two-burner stove.

Both vans will be on display at the 2019 Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf, August 31-September 8.
