These numbers are amazing.
The Ford Mustang Bullitt pony car is for you if you like understated styling. It has plenty of power. This video will show you how powerful the engine is.
The Bullitt’s naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8 produces 480 horsepower (358kW) and 420 pound feet (570 Newton-meters). The standard Mustang GT has 20 horsepower (15 kW) more power thanks to the larger throttle body, GT350 intakemanifold and revised powertrain control module. The coupe can travel 163 mph (262 km/h), which is 8 mph (11.3 kph faster than the GT). A six-speed manual is the only available gearbox.
This video shows the Bullitt as it was before the engine went out. A peek into the cockpit shows that the engine has 3,921 miles. After a warm-up, the Mustang is ready to pull.
According to the dyno, the Bullitt produces 426 horsepower (318 kW), at 6,500 rpm, and 391 lb/ft (530 Nm), at 4,900 revs. This results in an 11 percent drop in horsepower and 7 percent loss of torque. These are amazing results considering that the driveline loss is generally estimated at 15%.
The dyno results show that the Bullit produces increasing horsepower until it reaches redline. From just above 2,000 rpm, the torque curve jumps to just under 250 lb-ft (339Nm).
Only the 2019 and 2020 models will have the Mustang Bullitt. Ford raised the model’s price by $1215 to $48,905 , after paying the 2020 destination fee.
