We posted yesterday a low resolution photo of a 911 (991.2) on the streets in Prague. Now we have better photos of the model, which appears to be a Carrera. It sounds like a turbocharged engine, which is not surprising considering the facelifted 911 range will be all-turbo apart from the GT3 models.
The Carrera version will use a six-cylinder, 2.7-liter engine that produces 407 PS (300kW). While the Carrera S is expected to get a larger turbo-six of 3.4-liters, its output is unknown at this time.
The styling changes include new graphics for the lighting units and new DRLs. There are also new bumpers and a new exhaust system. The 991.2 model will have the 918 Spyder’s steering wheels, larger display for the infotainment systems, and a toggle switch on the right-hand side. Previous spy photos showed this.
A Porsche official unveiling online should be imminent, as Porsche no longer bothers to camouflage the prototypes. The Frankfurt Motor Show will host a public debut in September. Sales are likely to begin soon after.
