Motorhomes don’t have to be expensive or bulky.
Skala Conversions has a clever camper conversion. A Ram ProMaster was previously used as the base for the compact camper van, but the Florida-based motorhome designer used a Ford Transit Crew Cab.
Skala Aero Ford Transit camper convert seats five, but only three people. The package includes one double and one triple seat. The entire crew cab is protected with airbags. All seats are equipped with three-point seatbelts. In the event of cargo transport, the seats can be removed.
The Ford Transit motorhome convert comes equipped with a portable cooking set, an inside and outside option, a 35-foot refrigerator, a Dometic hot/cold faucet and a 700-watt microwave oven. An outdoor hot/cold shower is also available with a shower curtain that’s supported by magnets.
Shaker-style cabinets provide storage. Two adult bikes or a portable generator may fit under the bed. You can also find side compartments for smaller items.
A compact motorhome conversion comes with a 14-gallon grey water tank and a 30 gallon fresh water tank. These are pushed inside the cabin via a 12-volt Shurflo pump. A 315Ah Lion Energy Lithium house lithium battery, which can be charged with various inverters and chargers, provides power. This power the heaters, air-conditioning, roof fan, five 110-volt outlets, and three 12-volt USB ports.
The Skala Aero conversion is priced at $55,000, just like the previous. The price is less than the market value and should provide you with an RV that’s versatile and won’t take up too much space in your garage.
