Maranello’s PHEV was given an impromptu facelift when he crashed into five parked cars along Halesowen Street, near Birmingham in the UK. He then decided to flee from the scene. After being unable to open his door, we can see him getting out through the window. The driver is still not surrendered to police by the West Midlands Police.
The driver did not sustain any injuries and seemed to be fine despite hitting the parked cars. Although it is not clear if the Ferrari belonged to him or if it was a rental vehicle, we know that it has been seized by authorities. A spokesperson for the West Midlands Police stated Daily Mail that it was a rental.
“Officers arrived and discovered that the vehicle had been abandoned. We received no reports of injuries. We searched the area and talked to several witnesses, but we were unable to find the driver. We have taken the car and are continuing our efforts to trace and identify the driver.
It’s a little surprising that it took so long to identify driver SF90 Strodales, considering they’re not what we would call a common car. The driver’s face was captured on camera, and police were in touch with many witnesses. It is not yet clear if the car will be returned to the road. Ferraris are notoriously delicate and expensive to repair so it shouldn’t surprise that it will be written off.
