Ford GT Builder to Switch To Bronco-DR Production After Supercar Ends

Multimatic Motorsports Canada will begin making the V8-powered Baja racer by 2023.

Ford officially announced the Bronco’s DR launch this month. If you are looking for a tough Baja-conquering Bronco, the DR is for you. Although the initial announcement stated that the limited-run truck would be produced in 2022, a report by Muscle Cars and Trucks states otherwise.

Ford Performance Motorsports Global Director Mark Rushbrook says the Bronco is DR’s. Production Deliveries will continue through 2023. The gist is the following: MC&T Interview revolves around the location of the production. Rushbrook stated that the Bronco DR would be built on Canada’s Multimatic Motorsports site in Markham, Ontario.

Rushbrook explained to MC&T, “We’ll pull (Ford Bronco), the frame from Michigan Assembly Plant, and a lot other production parts that were used but it will still be built at Multimatic.”

Multimatic hosts the production for the Ford GT, which is due to finish in 2022. Multimatic has the chance to race off-road with the new DSSV offroad racing dampers through the Bronco DR Production. As announced earlier in the month, the Bronco will not be using Fox Racing shocks.

Multimatic-designed billet aluminum lower control arm and bodies are standard on the DSSV Dampers. The Bronco DR should have 55.1 percent more suspension travel frontally and 58.6% more rearwardly compared to a standard Bronco Badlands.

The Bronco DR, which is not street legal, has a limit of 50 units. Rushbrook believes that they will sell well, despite the price tag being below $200,000 The automaker is able to make a second batch if needed, but we expect something new with the second batch. Although this is not a guarantee, we wouldn’t be surprised if it happens.
