You can transform your pickup with a few accessories.
The Ford Maverickis Blue Oval’s latest pickup. Sales are already well underway. Although the future of this truck is not clear, spy shots suggest that Ford is developing a more rugged Rattler Trim for the truck which is expected to be available in 2022. Chip Foose, the famed designer of the Maverick, has proposed a street-rod-inspired Maverick.
This is a design idea, so achieving Foose’s lowered appearance might require some modifications. However, a lowered suspension seems possible , as SEMA has shown. Foose gives the truck some personality with his hood scoop. He also added a modified lower grille and new lights to it. The ground effects were finished in the same colors as the stock truck’s cladding. Foose stated that he would like to make Foose’s lower fascia more functional. This could include cooling the brakes and feeding air to another part.
Foose decided to forgo designing new wheels and instead chose to use them as a way of indicating speed. A small lip spoiler is located at the rear, which aids in aesthetic upgrades. The wheels and tires are also larger than stock, which helps fill in the wheel wells. Foose finishes his Maverick in a Shelby-like while and-blue color scheme. Ford however, has used the same color combination. Foose even added a FORD graphic to the lower door.
Foose’s process of creating a sketch and then adding layers of lines and color to make something new and familiar is always fascinating. We expect to see companies and customers customize the Maverick with different suspension setups, body kits and possibly even functional bits.
