1994 Porsche 911 Turbo From ‘Bad Boys’ Movie Sells For $1.43M

Original, rare, and well-known

This stunning Porsche 911 Turbo of the 964 generation is expected to be one of the main attractions at the 2022 Kissimmee Mecum Auction. It will take place January 6-16, 2019. This car is not only rare and pristine, but also has been a movie star and has won numerous classic car awards.

Porsche has given a Certificate confirming the car’s originality. This is one of only 350 examples made for the US market in 1994, the last year of rear-wheel drive for that generation of 911 Turbo. We expect it to be a big seller because it was featured as a part of the 1995 film “Bad Boys” starring Will Smith & Martin Lawrence.

It is not a garage queen, but it is a great car. It has 34,396 miles (55.355 kilometers) on its odometer. However, the car’s current condition shows no signs of wear. The car was originally owned by Michael Bay, who then sold it to Pat Sandstone, a film producer. The car went through several more hands before it was finally purchased by the Drendel Collection’s current owner in 2014.

This 911 Turbo was powered by a turbocharged 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine. It was mated with a five-speed manual transmission that sent power to the rear wheels. The car came with an air conditioner and radio/cassette player. There was also a sunroof and fixed spoiler at its back. We love the wheel design, which conceals the drilled brakes.

It’s also worth noting that the car has won many awards at classic events. These include first place on Amelia Island, at French Lick Porsche Parade Restoration and the Pinehurst Concours d’Elegance. The car also made a red carpet appearance at the ‘Bad Boys for Life’ premiere in January 2020.
