Since before the debut of the Ford Maverick, we have been discussing potential street-truck applications. This desire is not unique. A fictional ST rendering appeared shortly after the cover was lifted. A Shelby-themed Maverick was also created by Chip Foose . These new renderings are absolutely convincing. This truck is needed by the entire world. Like, now.
The Mustang Shelby GT350 is the inspiration for this stunning Maverick transformation, which was created by KDesign AG at Behance.net. This render is a clear indication of the talent of this artist. The Le Mans black stripes and white border make it stand out. We love the way the ground effects match the Maverick’s style and mirror the Shelby Mustang’s design. The wing at the rear of the cab? Please, if there is one thing about this Shelby that can make it real, what would it be?
Although we would love to believe that a Shelby Maverick similar to this is on the horizon, there has been no word from the rumour mill. This isn’t an outrageous idea. We’ve seen Shelby modify pickup trucks. It is possible that Shelby may be working on a Bronco. It seems obvious to me that the Maverick should be given some attention.
The Maverick made its debut in June 2021 and has been very well received. Its unibody construction combined with all-wheel drive makes it a great candidate for street styling. A Shelby Maverick will have no competition in a small truck market that is poised for a huge return to the US, thanks to its lower suspension and turbocharged 2.0-liter 250-horsepower engine.
