Is it quicker than the M3 Competition?
People seem to forget that Alfa Romeo has a long history of high-performance sedans. The twin-cam Giulia was a classic, as was the Milano Quadrifoglio Verde in the ’80s. This tradition continues today with the Giulia Quadrifoglio.
Alfa Romeo also released the limited-run GTA editions and GTAm editions for the Giulia Quadrifoglio. These are lighter, more focused versions, particularly the GTAm. With the addition of Lexan windows and harnesses, the GTAm has its rear seats removed. These models get an additional power boost. It starts at 503 horsepower (375 Kilowatts), and then goes up to 533 horsepower (397 Kilowatts).
The GTAm and GTA were sold. Alfa Romeo produced only 500 of these cars, with the rarer variant being the most popular. It was not possible to test the car or review it. This is your opportunity to find out the actual numbers for this Guilia Quadrifoglios-breathed-on product.
The rare animal was obtained by Motorsport Magazine in France. The run was also recorded by the magazine. There are some things you should be aware of during the run. The road surface was icy and the day was gloomy. Second, the GTAm spun at 90 km/h (56 MPH), which cost it a few tenths. It’s still quite impressive.
The Giulia GTAm ran the 0-62mph (0-100 km/h), despite the conditions. The Giulia GTAm reached 124 mph in just 12 seconds and went on to surpass 155 mph (250 km/h), in less than 20 seconds. These numbers are comparable to those of the BMW M3 Competition rear-wheel-drive version. The GTAm may have been a bit quicker in better conditions. It might even beat the factory’s claims of 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds.
If those numbers aren’t enough to impress you, the sound might. The Ferrari engine produces all the right sounds.
