2023 BMW 7 Series Drawing Based on Spy Shots

It’s not true, but the prototypes that were spotted at the site prove it.

We are about to see a new BMW 7 Series and, despite our best efforts to deny it. Another interesting update to another Bimmer could be on the horizon. It is based on the prototypes. A two-tier headlight arrangement is being offered to the largest Bimmer sedan. This is definitely a controversial design choice. You can decide if it’s a good idea or not.

Spain’s Motor gives us an unofficial rendering based on spy shots to help you picture a Bimmer with split-headlights. Although it’s a lot, we still hope that BMW will not go for this fascia for their 7er.

We were able to see that the prototype was spied and that it had a strip of LED at its top, with the main cluster below. It appears that the two light modules are enclosed in a rectangular form. The kidney grille in the middle isn’t getting smaller so I hope we can all get used it by now.

The 7 Series is not the only Bimmer to be getting a split-headlight configuration. During tests at the Nurburgring, the X7 was spotted with this same layout.

The 7er’s CLAR platform will be used in an updated version. The large sedan will be available in a variety of powertrains: gasoline, diesel and plug-in hybrid. The automaker confirmed that there won’t be a V12 at this time, but it will come in the future.

BMW will unveil the next 7 Series in 2012, according to reports. Let’s wait to see if the two-tiered headlights work on the sedan. Let us know what you think about this unofficial rendering below.
