They can also make a Lexus version.
Only a few people will doubt the Toyota Land Cruisers off-road capability. These SUVs are capable of handling tough terrain, no matter what model they are, whether it is the classic 40 Series or the timeless 70 Series. You can only imagine how great these Land Cruisers will be once the mods are in place. Arctic Trucks are a perfect example.
Yes, Arctic Trucks has made some improvements to the SUV. The result is a Land Cruiser capable of navigating in snow, forest and desert. The 300 Series, just like the Arctic Trucks models before it, has had major upgrades to the chassis to fit the off-road tuner’s unique touch.
Arctic Trucks had to modify the geometry of the front and wheel arches due to its heavily re-engineered suspension. To withstand the harsh conditions these SUVs will encounter, additional reinforcements were added to the suspension mounts. The package includes beefier springs and dampers, as well as a wider track to allow for better footprint on uneven surfaces. Arctic Trucks also managed to keep the adaptive suspension system intact, so it will continue working despite all the modifications.
The minimum ground clearance for the Land Cruiser AT35 is 10.2-inches (260mm) for the diesel model. If you choose to go with gas power, the minimum ground clearance is 10.2 inches (260 mm) for the diesel version. The gas power option increases slightly to 10.6 inches (170 mm). The standard Land Cruiser has a ground clearance range between 8.6 inches (220mm, diesel) and 9.0 inches (90%, gas). The AT35 has an extra anti-corrosion coating underneath the chassis.
We’re curious to see if Arctic Trucks can do the same with the new Land Cruiser. It’s amazing to see how the off-road specialist will do it for the Lexus LX600.
