Ford Maverick SUV Not Necessary. But, Someone Did A Rendering Anyway

It is a practical, off-road-ready and more practical alternative to the Escape.

This idea has been explored before, and we are sure it is something we would like to revisit. The gallery below shows unofficial renderings of a small SUV that is based on the Ford Maverick. Although you could argue that there is already a crossover available on the same bones, the concept here is different.

The Maverick was built on the same platform as the Escape. This unibody architecture is also used by the Focus for Europe. The Escape is just as flashy as its Kuga cousin from Old continent, but this virtual SUV offers a more practical take on the same platform. It will be more capable of off-roading, and have more cargo space.

These images were created by Kolesa.ru. Nikita Chuiko, a designer, proposed a new design for the vehicle’s rear end. Although it looks like the Explorer, there are certain lines and shapes that make it look more Maverick. The Maverick truck’s taillights look identical to the clusters in the taillights.

However, there are very few chances that a Maverick SUV will be seen at this time. Ford CEO Jim Farley recently suggested that the Maverick ” would be a new franchise”. Farley suggests that a Maverick sub-brand could offer affordable utility vehicles. This is the “Maverick family” as Farley calls it.

A lineup of Maverick cars could offer Ford a range of affordable products starting at $20,000. This could include a $20K Maverick-branded and based SUV that could replace the EcoSport.
