The all-electric A6 E-Tron, which is fully electric, is also in development.

Our spy photographers haven’t captured the Audi A6 facelifted in a while. The all-electric A6 Etron has been spotted in recent months and there is a lot of excitement around the EV. The A6’s gas-powered counterpart needs some love and is currently undergoing a midcycle refresh. Audi will make minor changes to the A6’s front- and rear fascia designs during midlife. Although it doesn’t cover the rear and front fascias, the camouflage is sufficient to conceal these changes. New headlight graphics for the revamped A6 will be available. They retain their current form and have been reshaped to accommodate intakes. The grille design has also been modified to include a massaged design. The rear will see Audi install new taillight graphics as well as tweaking the bumper. The styling changes made to the A6 will be carried over to the rest, with the S6, RS6, as well as the high-riding Allroad flavors.

The powertrains won’t likely change. With few modifications, we expect Audi to transfer them to the new model. Audi is moving forward with its electrification plans. The E-Tron is expected to debut later in the year . Audi hasn’t yet revealed when the new A6 will be revealed, but we anticipate it to do so later in the year. Although the A6 E-Tron will probably overshadow it, the new A6 should be available for the model year 2023. The Audi A6 sales are down over the past few years and automakers have shifted their focus to developing new crossovers and SUVs and EVs. So, the A6’s minor update shouldn’t be too surprising.
