The Sorceress can be fed with methanol to produce the required power. This car can apparently digest 88-octane gasoline, but the output will not be the same.
This Oldsmobile’s V8 is powered by a pair 110mm turbochargers, and two 2.5-inch primaries. The engine bay is stunning, with polished stainless steel hardware that looks nickel-plated. The electronic opening of the clamshell cover hood looks amazing.
You may not have noticed that a large portion of Sorceress’ exterior is made from carbon fibre. It’s lightweight. The car can sprint at 260 mph (418 km/h) for a quarter mile, and finishes it in six seconds. This is even faster than the Bugatti.
Although a lot has happened since 1984 Hurst’s original purchase, one thing is certain – it’s still the owner’s daily driver. It’s street legal, despite the insane horsepower it has. How cool is that?
