Honda Dog accessories can be purchased in Japan, and are even available through its RideShare service. But they are not available in America.
Motor1.com loves dogs, as does Honda. Honda is so passionate about dogs that it offers a whole line of accessories through the Honda Dog series in Japan. This cool car seat is one of them.
The Pet Seat Plus Wan is the name of this product. As you can see, it’s very similar to what the photos show. Although it’s intended for small dogs, it can easily be mounted into Honda cars and taken out. The seat is not designed for infants. However, it can be used to restrain dogs. If your pooch is well behaved, the mesh top can be opened to allow them to stay in the carrier. Or it can be closed for cuteness.
Unfortunately, this option is not available in the States. Honda once teased us with some cool features for the long-dead Element. But that was the last we saw of their factory-backed four-legged features.
We tried to look on the internet for a way to import Honda accessories from Japan Fast & Furious style. However, unless you find a used item on eBay, it seems that the only way to obtain new items is to make contact with someone who is already in Japan. We would love to hear from you dear reader if you have any tips on how to get these items.
Although these accessories have been around for some time, Honda has now integrated them into its Japanese-based EveryGo ridesharing platform. In Japan, the automaker introduced the system in select cities in 2017. Riders can now bring their dogs along in cars already equipped with Honda Dog accessories.
