You should look closely at the details as many of the adjustments aren’t immediately obvious.
The 2019 BMW X4 is officially here. However, you will need to compare it to the previous generation in order to truly see the differences. The new crossover isn’t much different than the previous one. However, comparing them side-by-side reveals the differences.
The front end of the 2019 X4 has the fewest changes compared to the previous one. BMW’s designers added a larger grille and arched headerlights. The rectangular housings of the foglights are now found lower down. The new X4 has a simplified fascia that features three inlets. This eliminates the narrow opening under the grille of the older model.
The X4’s updated design is more apparent when viewed in profile. The new model measures 3 inches (76.2 millimeters longer overall) and has a 2.1 inch (53.3 mm) wider wheelbase. This growth has resulted in a crossover that is more sleek and slimmer than the previous SUV. By giving the vehicle a more teardrop-shaped shape, the gentler rake at the rear of the roof makes it appear more aerodynamic.
The new X4’s side view is the same as the rear. This angle, which has a smoother and more sophisticated appearance, is undoubtedly the best. The rear glass is now flatter and has a spoiler that’s visually appealing. The updated taillights are a simplified version of the L-shaped design that was used in the crossover’s previous model.
BMW has made an interesting design choice inside the X4. Mercedes-Benz, the primary competitor, now offers a dashboard that incorporates digital instruments and an infotainment display. This creates a cohesive look. This idea was different in the X4’s previous model, where the infotainment screen integrates into the center stack, but is separate from the instruments.
The 2019 X4’s infotainment screen is placed on the top of the dashboard. Although the change places the screen closer to the driver’s eyes, it doesn’t blend in well with the cabin’s design.
The new X4 will be available in the United States starting in July. Prices will start at $50,000. Plus destination for the base xDrive30i model. The M40i, which is more powerful, will be priced at $60,000.450
