For the premium compact, small changes are possible.
The current Mercedes Benz A-Class was introduced in 2018 as a 2019 version. It is still a new-looking model in the premium compact segment. The Stuttgart-based automaker is still keen to update its smallest model to ensure it remains competitive for the three to four years to come. New spy photos reveal that work continues on the facelifted A-Class and that there aren’t any major visual changes.
This prototype was found on German public roads wearing camouflage over the front fascia. A new radiator grille appears to have been part of the refresh. The grille’s center contains a new sensor to monitor the vehicle’s safety systems and assist systems. It could be integrated into the vehicle’s overall design. Mercedes Logo for the final production version. The grille is surrounded with redesigned headlights. However, we expect them to keep their original shape and receive minimal internal modifications.
It appears that there will be less modifications at the back. The taillights have been disguised to hint at possible small touches. The lower portion of the bumper has also been camouflaged. This is where we expect to find a new-shaped diffuser. However, the design of the diffuser will vary depending on the trim level and optional appearance packages. This prototype is identical to the A-Class production model that is currently on display at your local Mercedes dealer.
Rumours suggest that the A-Class’s refreshed engine could be replaced by a new one. Mercedes could drop the Renault-sourced powertrains and opt for new units created in collaboration with Geely. Informationtainment and connectivity upgrades will also be available for all members in the brand’s compact car family.
