Mercedes CLA with Less Camo leaves little to the imagination

The CLA is more transparent than ever, revealing most of its sleek form.

We’ve been sending you spy photos of the next-generation Mercedes CLA for a while now. Today, we have the most detailed batch of images. Although it is strikingly similar to the regular Sedan we still hope there is something more beneath that thin layer of camouflage.

There was also a Rumor In May 2017, the CLA was suggested that the new CLA would draw design cues form the AMG GT concept. This concept went on to become The GT 4-Door Coupe . We don’t think so. Although the shape is slightly more sleek than the A-Class Sedan’s, the headlights are cooler. However, it remains to be determined if this will be enough to distinguish the two compact cars.

The new CLA looks almost production-ready. It will be slightly more costly than the sedan, but it will inherit most everything: interiors, engines, gearboxes and technology. The new A35 Sedan A-Class Sedan will feature Mercedes’ first-ever AMG model. A hotter CLA with the “35” suffix will also be available with slightly more than 300 horsepower, all-wheel drive, and a seven speed auto. The CLA45 will have more than 400 horsepower, a drift-enabled 4Matic transmission, and an 8-speed auto transmission.

Although some may question Mercedes’ decision not to launch a new CLA model, it’s good that the three-pointed star will still be performing another CLA Shooting brake. The compact premium wagon, which was just seen undergoing testing, should be available within one year of the reveal of the four-door coupe.

The debut of the CLA is expected to be around the corner, considering the limited camo that the prototype sports. It will not be in Los Angeles by the end of March, but it is expected to arrive in Detroit at NAIAS in January 2019. It will likely debut at the Geneva show in March, but we won’t have long to wait.
