2019 BMW Z4 Coupe render Makes Us Wish It Were True

It’s like the BMW Supra.

The Z4 has finally arrived with a fabric roof that replaces the metal top. What if BMW made it a coupe instead? X–Tomi Design has provided the following rendering. It shows the idea for a new-gen Z4 equipped with a fixed-metal roof. This render was taken about one year after the artist had given the concept the coupe treatment. The coupe digital render doesn’t match the concept-based rendering, as is the case for the roadster model.

The new Toyota Supra coupe will replace the Z4, unless you’ve been living beneath a rock for the past couple of years. A90 is its codename. This one has also been teased to death, and it is likely that we are still a few more months away from its highly anticipated debut in production.

The two cars will share the same platform and be built in the same factory, Graz, Austria by Magna Steyr. However, BMW claims that the Z4 is more unique than the Supra. We shouldn’t expect identical cars with different badges and roofs. The two automakers have taken great care to make their products unique, even though some hardware will remain the same.

The Z4’s new design is quite different from its predecessor. This is evident considering that the A80 was retired 16 years ago. The Toyota sporty coupe was first shown in early 2014 with the concept, and then with a camouflaged near production prototype. We are now patiently waiting for the road-going model.
