It is unlikely that you can afford it if you ask for the price.
Despite rumors that Andreas Preuninger, Porsche Motorsport’s manager for high-performance cars, suggested years ago that we shouldn’t rule out a production mid-engined Porsche, we have yet to see one. Although we may have to wait for the next generation of sports cars to arrive, we do have an offer for a 911 mid-engined 911. It’s not our offer, but we are happy with the information.
Art and revs sells one of 29 Ruf CTR3 cars. This is Ruf’s interpretation of a mid-engined 911. It is based largely upon the 997-generation 911. Multimatic, who built the Ford GT, provided the platform. The tuning company was assisted by Multimatic. It is cool and rare.
This particular car is chassis number 8. It was built in 2010. It was returned to Ruf’s workshop three years later to be upgraded to Club Sport specification, which has a stronger engine. The car’s body is made entirely of carbon-kevlar and the engine is based upon the 997 GT2. It generates 775 horsepower (570 Kilowatts) as well as 723 pound-feet (980 Newton meters), and has a curb weight just 3,086 pounds (1.400 kilograms).
According to the ad, the car is in excellent condition and has been maintained to the highest standard.
Let’s now talk about the price. There is no price listed. However, you can request more information. This rare bird is unlikely to be sold for less that several hundred thousand dollars. It may even reach one million dollars.
