Retro is the new modern.
This week has been a great week for Ford Bronco fans. Ford unveiled the Bronco Raptor, a powerful 400+ horsepower 3.0-liter V6 engine. Yesterday, we saw a unique Bronco, which will be auctioned off for charity. We have another Bronco today, and it is from a customization shop in Columbus.
Rabid Customs used a Bronco Badlands Bronco as a base and ordered Eruption Green factory-finished. The Tint Lab provided the vintage vinyl package, which consists of contrasting yellow stripes and orange stripes above the wheel arches. The rear fenders are adorned with Rabid Offroad stickers.
The so-called Retro Rabid Bronco is more than meets the eye. The suspension is fitted with a 2.5 inch lift kit, and a set Pro Comp 17×9 vintage 69 wheels that are wrapped in BFGoodrich all terrain tires. The combination of the vintage vinyl and the beautiful green color gives the vehicle a classic look. Chrome Bronco badges at the front fenders add an extra touch to the appearance. This SUV’s off-road abilities are not compromised by its upgraded suspension and heavy-duty tire.
The Bronco Raptor is Ford’s most extreme off-road vehicle. It’s aggressively priced on the market, undercutting by $6,000 the Wrangler Rubicon392 by $6,000. However, the latter’s stock engine is larger and more powerful. Ford has promised to put the new Bronco Raptor up for sale in the coming months.
Below is our exclusive first look at this new Bronco Raptor.
