You Can Get a Wild 2004 Chevy Silverado Dually Pickup for $65k

This rig is nothing but a complete overhaul of Cadillac, including all 10 tires.

For the record, Cadillac offered a pickup truck in 2004. Although the Escalade EXT was a more expensive version of the Chevrolet Avalanche’s pickup truck, it isn’t a Cadillac. Although it’s not a Cadillac, the Escalade EXT is a huge hydraulic bed that you attach to a crew car and then give it ten (yes ten) wheels, it may be as good as a Cadillac. We haven’t even touched the 1,400-horsepower motor under the hood.

This is a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado3500 HD. It was born that way, at least. However, the vehicle eventually evolved into the double-dually shown here. Gateway Classic Cars Arizona is currently selling it. Yes, there’s a double dual rear-wheel setup. The bed is made up of eight individual Pirelli tires. Add the two front wheels and you have a ten-wheeler that looks a lot like a Peterbilt semi hauling cargo down the highway. The truck does not have Peterbilt horsepower, but it has a lot.

This is because the engine’s 529 cubic-inch (8.7 liter) V8 is underneath the hood. It was modified from a 500 cubic inch (8.2-liter Cadillac V8), hence the Cadillac body upgrades at the front and back of this Chevrolet. It has two turbochargers and produces 1,425 horsepower (1,063 Kilowatts), with 1,671 pounds-feet (2.266 Newton-meters). The power is handled by a powerful five-speed Allison automatic. It doesn’t mention performance statistics or weight. It’s likely to be heavy and ridiculously fast.

There are many upgrades to the interior, not least cream leather seats. An engine parameter set is kept track by a custom set of gauges. Naturally, the stereo system blasts. The truck has air ride suspension and there are a lot of photos that show the history of the double dually. This truck is definitely an on-road pickup due to its low ride height, street-spec tires and longer wheelbase than most houses.

This truck is familiar to many because it was a well-known custom truck in years past. It had a two-tone red/gold finish. Consignment is available for the truck at $65,000. You can find additional photos and details at the source link.
