BMW M3CS Drops Heavy Camo and Shows Off Face in New Spy Photos

Production is expected to begin in March 2023.

New spy photos show a hotter BMW M3 variant. The four-door sedan is back at the Nurburgring to continue testing. This is the BMW M3 CS model, which will improve the performance of the powerful model. This upgrade includes many upgrades that will likely result in more power, suspension tuning, and additional carbon-fiber goodies. These new photos give us a better look at the M3 variant. Anyone who has seen spy photos of the M4 CSL will recognize this face. The sedan’s front end features a bold design, with a chunky chin spoiler wrapping around the exterior edges of its front bumper. Additional slats are found in the lower grille opening of the M3 CS. A glimpse of the long-rumored M-specific headlights can be seen with yellow-tinged daytime run lights. BMW will also make this standard.

Although the rear is visible, camouflage covers the side windows. It is possible that the car conceals molded bucket rear seats. The rear of the sedan is identical to the rest, except for the quad exhaust sticking out from the diffuser. It looks just like a typical M3 back there.

According to the latest information, BMW will pack its 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged straight-six into the new model. However, BMW will increase the power to a possible 540 horsepower (402 Kilowatts). This is a significant upgrade to the M3 Competition. However, enthusiasts will not be pleased to hear that the new model won’t include a manual gearbox and each M3 CS will power the four wheels via the brand’s xDrive system.

The car’s carbon fiber upgrades are one thing that camouflage still hides. Although it is not clear how much carbon will be added to the car, it will likely reduce its weight and improve its performance. It would make a great use for the carbon by creating a chunky new chin spoiler.

BMW has not yet announced when the M3 CS new model will be available. BMW is expected to begin the 11-month production run of the M3 CS next March. This means that we will likely see the new model breaking cover before then. BMW may have a late 2022 launch in mind.
